HCG Diets - Why you Should Consider It


If you are thinking of dieting, perhaps you are tired of your extra weight, you can do well by considering HCG diet. It is a diet which promises to get rid of one to two pounds of excess weight off your body on a daily bases. The standard weight loss program usually lasts more than 20 days. You can extend it until you attain your ideal.

There are a couple of things which make me hesitate to utilize the weight loss methods at first: (1) Its says I do not have to exercise and (2) I can still eat most of the food I am used to. What made me skeptical at first is it appears I do not have to do anything at all, which is a bit unbelievable. I have to admit I have always related losing weight to vigorous programmed exercise and abstinence from the foods which made uncomfortable with my weight in the first place.

About the second, there might be some problems for some but I got used to it fairly quickly The diet consists of foods rich in proteins and fibers - lean meats, vegetables, fruits and seafood (not all). Calorie rich foods are definitely out. In fact, you will not be allowed more 500 calories a day. It takes a little time getting used to but do not pose special difficulties. The limited calories did not weaken me at all since during the first three days of the program I was allowed to eat all the fatty foods I can so that my body will have enough energy for the duration of the program.

The diet, of course, is just one part of HCG diets weight loss program. Equally important is the daily ingestion of HCG hormone. This hormone extracted from expectant mothers is proven to have the ability to alter a body's metabolic process from fat conservation to fat burning. This is the reason why pregnant women however much they eat do not seem to get fat. This because their metabolic process effectively breaks down foods into nutrients which are then passed on to the baby. The same process works among dieters.

You can be as innovative as you can with the diet but you should always take into account the original hcg diet recipe provided by Dr. Simeon in his book "Pounds and Inches". But if you cannot bear eating the same foods all over again until the last day of the diet, then, you can always search for substitutes. As long as you abide with the prescribed 500 calorie diet, you should find yourself lighter on your feet in no time at all.
