There are 4 stages in the Kevin Trudeau’s HCG weight loss program, though, the diet plan is practically the same as the one recommended by Dr. ATW Simeon and contained in the book "Pounds and Inches".
Unlike the original HCG program, Kevin Trudeau’s has a preparatory stage of one month. The objective of this stage is to prepare you for the next period which is the diet proper. There are some activities you are to observe like cleansing your body of impurities, drinking plenty of liquids, avoiding too much calories, doing an hour of daily slow-paced and steady walk and getting some sunshine. This stage is not really compulsory. The program will work just as well without it. However, it teaches you one very important thing – you have to be careful in what you eat and you have to adhere to good health practices.
Right after the preliminary stage, is Kevin Trudeau diet proper which is stage 2 of the program. It features a 500 calorie a day diet covering 23 days. Prior to it, however, is a three day period where you are compelled to stock-up on calories. The objective is quite simple. The calorie starved diet proper poses some dangers. Your sources of energy can be depleted and this can result to some serious side-effects. The calorie load period prevents this.
Stage 3 covers three weeks. Your HCG diet in this period is not much different from the calorie starved. The diet is still composed mostly of protein, fibers and liquids, but you calorie consumption will increase. The starch and fats previously prohibited is allowed once again, though added slowly. Synthetic sweeteners, trans-fats, fast and junk, and highly processed foods definitely have no place in the dining table.
Stage 4 is your envisioned life-time diet. Kevin Trudeau recommends all-organic foods for long term maintenance of weight loss program gains and general good health.
