You have to closely observe the HCG protocols, particularly those concerning the diets, however difficult they become in the course of the program or you won’t benefit much from all your efforts. Instead, it’s just throwing away hard-earned money and losing the chance of getting rid of your flab in just a few weeks or so.
It is the HCG diets that require diligent preparation. HCG absorption is easy enough and it becomes even easier with the oral drops administration method. The HCG diet plan should cover a couple of phases if you are adhering closely to the original diet of Dr. Simeons, the founder of the HCG weight loss program. Those who choose to Kevin Trudeau’s will have to prepare four diet plans as it has four phases.
For purposes of simplicity let’s just tackle Dr. Simeon’s which incidentally is also the basis of Kevin Trudeau’s HCG diet. The first phase of the original HCG diet is the diet proper covering 23 days. The diet is a very low calorie limiting 500 calories daily. The doctor provides a diet guide which is readily downloadable from HCG websites. But for your convenience let’s cite highlights of the diet.
Breakfast is not breaking fast at all if you think about it a bit closely. All you are allowed are sugarless tea or coffee. Although if it’s any consolation to you, Dr. Simeons allows you to drink any of the mentioned liquids as much as you like. There’s milk – one tablespoon – that not to be followed by another within 24 hours.
After the depressingly empty breakfast, lunch and dinner should be more filling, but they are not. One small stick of bread, 100 grams of fatless meat, one fruit, one vegetable, and one seafood (shrimp or lobster), all in very small helpings. You are to avoid oily foods so all you can do with the meat is grill or boil it. The doctor does not like HCG dieters to guess the food items allowed. He thoughtfully listed down the kinds of vegetables, fruits, seafood and meat you can choose from to make your simple and meager meals.
The question that probably runs through the minds of dieters, including you if you minded enough to even reach this portion of this gloomy article, is how a man or woman used to eating gargantuan meals, presumably, can hope to live on such a diet for 23 days? Surprise, surprise!! You are to go into this diet fully armed. For three days prior to this diet, you are to stuff yourself with all the oily, greasy, sugary and starchy foods you can put your hands on. The justification of this outwardly idiotic proposition is to boost your stocks of calories to make sure you have enough to draw from when the 500 calorie diet is forcibly enforced. The doctor really does not like taking chances; he also left specific instructions about the HCG hormone because unbeknownst to you this hormone suppresses hunger fangs. Meaning that however negligible the meals are, you will not become intensely uncomfortable.
After the calorie starved diet of phase1 comes the maintenance diet which is practically heaven to the dieter who is supposed to have trimmed down considerably to merit the maintenance diet. Fats and starch are gradually added to your diet though the bathroom scales are closely monitored for possible diet readjustments. Almost all types are allowed but you heavily processed foods, junk and fast foods have no place in your dining table.
